Warner Bros. pulled Batman: Arkham Knight June 25th following a myriad of complaints and bugs.
‘We want to apologise to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards,‘ the company explained in a statement to customers and press this week. ‘We greatly value our customers and know that while there are a significant amount of players who are enjoying the game on PC, we want to do whatever we can to make the experience better for PC players overall.‘ Warner Bro’s statement said.
Players experienced frequent freezing, crashing, poor graphical quality, bugs, stuttering, and framerate issues that wouldn’t let the game run at the 30 fps cap even. These issues were to be cleared up for the game to be re-released according to Warner.
The game and dlc will be re-released at full price again on steam Wednsday October 28th. There are rumors however of it being offered at a discount on 3rd party retailers online. I personally didn’t have any problems with the game, but I might have been either lucky or my PC powered through the problems. One thing’s for certain, the bugs were so prevalent and so bad and widespread it has soured the whole community on the title. Which is a bit sad, because Batman Arkham Knight is really a fantastic game.
